Our previous masterclass was popular, therefore book now to avoid disappointment. Whether you are a complete beginner, have some experience or ready to upskill and battle.

⏰ Arrival / registration from 10:30am
11:00 – 12:50 – Foundations and principles for all levels (suitable for beginners, min age 9)
13:00 – 15:00 – Intermediate and next level exploration
15:00 – 15:30 – Freestyle cypher, jam and exchange

In these sessions you will:

• learn street styles Poppin’, Animation and others
• learn more Poppin’ knowledge in these 2 hours than you would in a year of sessions with a non-experienced teacher
• understand the essence of groove beneath the technique
• meet positive like-minded people
• jam in a friendly exchange with other dancers
• receive individual tips for improvement
• be able to ask questions and discuss some of the hot dance topics (like who are Chris Browns and Michael Jackson’s dance mentors, what step can you take to become a professional dancer)

Instructor: Mechanikool – Alex Peters

With 19 years of training and teaching Popping and Animation, Alex takes his passion for style to a great depth.
Mechanikool was a semi finalist on SKY1 Got To Dance series, making a big impact on the TV and introducing the style of Animation in its very traditional form, to a large UK audience.

Alex is a former UK Popping Champion twice in 2006 & 2011. He has won a number of other battles over the years and represented the UK in the WORLD finals multiple years on the row.

You will often find him travelling abroad taking a personal guidance from popping legends like Pop N Taco (one of Michael Jackson’s dance teachers), Popin Pete (one of Chris Brown’s dance teachers), all well as many other dance pioneers.

Mechanikool coaches and mentors dancers of several dance dance groups over the UK, such as Diversity, and Europe passing on his knowledge and philosophy on dance. He has recognised the power that dance has as a tool for building confidence in individuals. He continues to passionately share his inspiration with any willing ears.
